Dan Milbourn Construction, Inc. was founded in 1969 by third-generation mason Dan Milbourn. Nearly six decades later, the company remains family-owned and operated, serving homeowners, businesses, institutions and historic properties throughout the St. Louis region.
Our story
One project at a time.
Our reputation has been built the same way as our work: one project at a time. From masonry restoration and tuckpointing to brick, stone, chimney, porch, patio and specialty repair work, our focus remains on quality craftsmanship, honest service, and doing the job right.
We are a small enough company that the family is on the job, and established enough that the National Park Service has trusted us with some of the most significant masonry in St. Louis.

Dan Milbourn Construction is founded
Established by Dan Milbourn, a third-generation mason, in St. Louis.
1985
A permanent home on Texas Avenue
The company moves into 2621 Texas Ave. in St. Louis — the same office it works from today.
2018
Dan Milbourn Sr. retires
Dan Milbourn Jr. is appointed President, carrying the company into its second generation of family leadership.

Our entire experience with Milborn Construction was first rate. At our initial meeting, Dan explained thoroughly what his crew would do. A day before they arrived Chris called us to notify us they would be coming. He and his crew showed up on time, did their work and cleaned up completely before departing. Thoughtful, professional pro. Dan came out (despite several feet of snow!) and walked the house with me. He taught me a ton about tuckpointing, and specific dos and don’t with historic homes (this was a 100 year old property), like going with lime cement over portland cement. Dan was generous with his time and talked over pros and cons of different approaches. Finished by giving us a thoughtful recommendation and a very fair bid!! Get Dan to look at your tuckpointing!
